I am very glad that everyone is here, today Geniusupdates  and everyone talk about the iOS application password protection possible tips, if you have wanted to use passwords to protect some applications on your iPhone, you can Follow the tips below.

Password protection for iOS apps

Apple released iOS 12 in September, along with a new feature called Screen Time. This feature tracks your usage habits and allows you to lock certain applications after a specified amount of time.

For example, you can use screen time to create a two-hour limit for Facebook. Once you use Facebook for two hours on a certain day, the app will be locked out – a password is required and more time is spent before you visit Facebook again. It turns out that this same feature can also be used to password protect applications that you don’t want someone to view.

I never thought about using screen time like this, but due to this Reddit thread and subsequent Google search, I found this idea to be covered shortly after Apple released the first beta of iOS 12.

First, you need to enable Screen Time on your iOS device in Settings > Screen Time. There, choose to turn on the screen time. Read it carefully and follow the prompts. Next, before doing anything else, scroll down and select Use screen time password. Enter a four-digit code to use as a password to access the screen time settings and to unlock the app.

Once you’ve set your password, return to the screen time settings page and select Apply Limits > Add Limits > select all apps and category categories and set the time limit to one minute. Finally, make sure you have Block at End of Limit enabled.

Ok, since you have a one-minute time limit setting, all apps on your iOS device will be locked after one minute of use, requiring you to enter the previously created password.

Locking all applications is not ideal, so you’ll need to use the Always Allows section of the Screen Time setting to narrow down the list of apps that remain locked. Under the “Always allow” section, click the green “+” symbol next to each app you want to visit frequently.

Doing so will move it to the “Allowed apps” section at the top of the screen. Apps listed under “Select Apps” will be subject to a one-minute time limit followed by password access.

Looking ahead, when you want to access a locked app, launch the app and tap Ask More Time > Enter Screen Time Password. Enter your password and then approve the app for 15 minutes, one hour or all day. Using screen time to lock a particular app is far from being an official feature, it feels like a solution, but it is currently the best iOS user.
