The Best 2022 MLB World Series Future Bets
With the 2022 MLB season now underway, there has never been a better moment for gamblers to bet on the future MLB World Series champions.
Whether it’s the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, or a few more clubs, bettors may make money with our MLB picks today.
Although it is just the start of the season, it is still a good time to get some good odds on some of these teams who are almost guaranteed to make a deep run.
Best MLB Future World Series Bet
We’ll look at two teams with a chance to win it all, one of which will be a safe bet and the other a longshot bet.
Safe Bet – Los Angeles Dodgers
As a safe bet, we’ll go with the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the World Series in 2022. Los Angeles still boasts Freddie Freeman, Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, Justin Turner, Walker Buehler, Max Muncy, Clayton Kershaw, and a bevy of other high-level MLB players, despite losing Corey Seager in free agency.
Although the Dodgers have had some playoff misfortune, they did win the World Series in 2020. This team seems capable enough of repeating their recent successes because they’re roster is loaded, and it wouldn’t be ridiculous to predict that they will.
If the Dodgers don’t win the World Series this year, given their spending and personnel, it would be an organizational failure, barring considerable injuries along the way. L.A. could also bring back a player like Trevor Bauer, who was found not guilty of the charges leveled against him. While the court of public opinion still seems unsettled,, there’s no denying when Bauer is on the mound, he’s one of the best pitchers in baseball.
Long Shot Bet – New York Mets
With odds of around +1300, the New York Mets are the long-shot option that already looks like a solid play. The Mets have seen limited success over the past few seasons, but based on how owner Steve Cohen threw money around to bring in stars in free agency, this team might have baseball’s best roster when everyone is healthy.
Their rotation will include a trio of right-handed pitchers: Max Scherzer, Jacob deGrom, and Taijuan Walker, along with a few others to balance the workload. Francisco Lindor, Starling Marte, Mark Canha, Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, Brandon Nimmo, Dominic Smith, and others will be their top offensive guys.
The most critical thing for this Mets team to win a World Series is for Jacob deGrom to fully recover from last season’s injury. When deGrom is on the mound, the Mets have a good chance of winning. However, New York has struggled in recent years to provide deGrom with run support.
However, this year’s lineup should be much different. The Mets added several quality hitters who get on base frequently, and they still have a few power bats to anchor the middle of their lineup. Unfortunately, deGrom will miss the first few weeks of the season at the very least.
This season, the Mets are capable of becoming not only one of baseball’s best teams, but potentially the champions when all is said and done. If everything falls into place for this bunch and Steve Cohen, the Mets may be one of the top three favorites to win the World Series in the coming months, so bet on them now.
Because both of the teams picked today are from the National League, winning the World Series would be impossible for both of them. If everything goes according to plan, this should be the National League Championship Series. There are a few other teams in the National League who could make a run for the pennant, but if both of these teams play to the caliber that everybody is expecting them to, these should be the two final teams going at it. If the early part of the season is any indication, the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers are the two best teams in the division.
