Wix or Weebly? What should you Choose?

Wix or Weebly

Wix and Weebly have so much in common. Both of them have large market budgets, good reputation, and are arguably two of the most popular compare website builders out there. Also, these two are quite similar— one can easily create a website with drag-and-drop features either provides.

Each of the platforms powers millions of websites, portfolios, e-stores, etc. However, based on extensive user testing, we got to know that Weebly is a far better option than Wix. And that’s what we are going to discuss today.

In this article, I will share with you which one of the two—Wix & Weebly—is the better website builder and why? So, without further ado, let’s start the comparison.

Wix or Weebly? What should you Choose?

Undoubtedly, both platforms are useful. But as per our testing, website development using Weebly is quicker. Moreover, if you are looking to create a large-size website, Weebly is an overall better option.

However, if flexibility is your concern, Wix gives the full control over the design. Sure, Weebly can help you add anything, but it’s more structured compared to Wix. Both have their pros and cons. Though Wix gives full flexibility, arranging elements for all devices— mobile, desktop, tablet—becomes the web builder’s job. On the other hand, Weebly is structured, i.e., all the templates are perfectly compatible with all the devices.

Wix and Weebly both cost nothing for their starter pack. But if you wish to use more functionalities, premium packs are available too. Wix costs more than Weebly in general. Also, if you have got some Weebly discount code, the comparative cost of Weebly’s to the Wix’s is almost negligible.

Both—Weebly and Wix—don’t demand any coding knowledge. But as per beginner user’s experience, Weebly has been voted a user-friendly option due to less clutter and simple, non-techie-understandable functionalities.

If building a portfolio site is in question, Wix is unquestionably a better option. However, for more significant websites and e-commerce stores, Weebly is far better than Wix. Not that Weebly can’t create a portfolio site, or Wix a large site, but both have their own offerings.

Conclusion

Wix and Weebly hold a place of their own. Although both are direct competitors, they hold a specific place depending on the user’s needs. If a portfolio or beautiful site is the priority, Wix is better. But if scale, cost, time, and functionalities are more critical, Weebly is a more practical option.

Weebly can do what Wix can, and vice-versa. But if we had to choose one or we conclude based on our user testing, Weebly will be our choice. Both are good, but Weebly is better. That’s it.
